Chappaqua Cares will hold its second annual Empty Bowls event to fight food insecurity in northern Westchester County this Sunday, Nov. 13, at the Whippoorwill Club in Armonk. The evening (5 to 8 p.m.) features decorated celebrity bowls – like this one of Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator of “Hamilton” – that will be auctioned off. Last year, Chappaqua Cares raised $100,000 for food banks in northern Westchester. Lisa Salvadorini, anchor of News 12 Westchester and News 12 Hudson Valley, is the honorary guest.
